Digital Media 

My new Brief is called digital artist. It was chosen to develop our skills and knowledge of the potential of digital technologies and software so i can incorporate incorporate it into my work .

It gives us an opportunity to communicate , analyse and prepare ideas and concepts through time-based , virtual and lens-based media and other associated techniques and skills . It will also allow us to begin to consider ways in which human activity can be affected by the use of this new media and technology.

I want to focus on portraits , specifically looking at photo manipulation but i also want to incorporate fine art into it. I want to look at overlaying images that tell a story, different peoples actions looking at non verbal communication and how two people communicate through body language .  

using different photos from a similar image i overlaid them on Photoshop. This was just a practice but i also want to add drawings and charcoal and 

drawings and overlay the in the same way .

I want to edit the using pencil so ive  changed the image to grayscale so that that it blends in . Im going to lighten the image so that when i overlay my drawing it will stand out more. I also practiced with a few more images

I overlaid the image by loading them all up on photoshop and placing them over eachother by opening the main photograph up then copying the layer , this was then at 100 opacity and 100 fill . one by one overlaid them but started to reduce the opacity and fill so the layers beneath come through. It also depends on which order the layers are in , the top should have the lightest opacity.

I then tried playing around with different lights and trying different layers in different orders.
